Specialist Timber and Damp Survey Leeds
We were instructed to carry out a damp and timber survey on a property in Leeds (Holbeck). Our client was instructed by the mortgage company to have some damp problems investigated by a timber and damp treatment contractor. We carried out the survey and found most walls affected by dampness. Our surveyor investigated further to find the source of the moisture. After carrying out tests and checking the property, our surveyor found the dampness to be caused by condensation and defective rainwater goods. The guttering to the property was in very poor condition and needed replacing altogether.
The guttering was allowing rainwater to wash down the wall and penetrate into the property. Our surveyor was getting full height reading from floor to ceiling in some areas.

- Replace guttering to the entire building
- Repoint side, front and back of the property
- Allow the walls to dry out and reinspect in 12 months time
- Fit fans to bathroom and kitchen area
